glenn koach | Chief Executive Officer / Owner

Glenn Koach is in charge of the business and strategic aspects of KC Beauty Academy. He oversees the finance and accounting functions as well as the regulatory requirements. He is deeply involved in executing the growth of the schools programs and expansion plans. He began his career as Senior Tax Specialist for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. and was a CPA. Mr. Koach holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a major in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Yuko T. Koach | Artistic Director

As Founder & Artistic Director of KC Beauty Academy, as well as an accomplished hairstylist in the film and entertainment industry, her unique wealth of knowledge and experience can help guide our students’ careers and provide them with an insider’s perspective of the entertainment business. Yuko has worked in the film and entertainment industry in both Japan and Hollywood. She first began her career in Japan but quickly rose to the top of her profession in Hollywood as a hairstylist, working in films and TV shows such as Michael Jackson’s “This is It,” “Pushing Daisies,” “Hunger Games” and “Memoirs of a Geisha.” For three consecutive years, she had Emmy nominations for Outstanding Hair Stylist.

Jenny Duenas | School Director

Jenny Duenas has been a licensed Cosmetologist for more than 14 years and has been in the education industry, committed to teaching future cosmetologists, since 2007. She is invested in her students’ successes and is always striving to create a motivational learning environment for the students at KC Beauty Academy

Miku Koach | ADMINISTRATOR

She received her BA at the University of California, Los Angeles, and worked as a Special Events Coordinator before joining her family’s business in November 2016. She works closely with the instructors and students, providing student services, overseeing all administrative tasks, as well overseeing the overall growth and development of the company.

Rino Koach | School manager

Rino Koach started as a Human Resources Operation for a large retail brand as well as Salon Manager at her family’s professional salon, KC Stylist Studio, before joining the team at KC Beauty Academy as its School Manager. She performs various tasks including acting as the school’s financial officer, admissions officer, and student services officer.

Charisse Muhammad | Licensure Educator

Our Licensure Educator, Charisse Muhammad, is a professional hair designer and has been a licensed hair stylist since 2010. Her passion is to create fashion-forward hairstyles, while maintaining the integrity of her clients’ hair. Charisse has been pleasing her clientele with her expertise in hair extensions and natural hair. She is a hairstylist at Avalon Villa, doing hair for convalescent clients along with being a stylist at a senior living home. At KC Beauty Academy she is responsible for both theory and practical skills for the State of California Licensure exams in Cosmetology, Manicure and Esthetics. Our students have an over-90% pass rate, receiving their licenses in Cosmetology, Manicure and Esthetics on their

Roberto Sanchez | Barber Instructor

Our barber instructor has been a licensed Barber since 1997. Working in his family’s establishment El Arte barbershop in South LA he has experience in not only every  aspect of the barber profession, but also running and maintaining a barber shop. He cares deeply about the tradition of barbering and maintaining the Integrity of the hair styling industry.

Jovonna Moss | Cosmetology Instructor

Jovonna Moss is a successful accomplished entrepreneur in the Cosmetology Industry. She has utilized her skills and abilities beyond the salon extending them in to teaching,  directing, developing and creating. Jovonna began her career as a Cosmetologist in 1998 at Pacific Beauty College. Shortly thereafter she began the Instructor Trainee Program at the very college that prepared her for the licensing exam. She completed course work at UCLA to receive her credentials as an instructor.  Within seven years she subsequently earned the Director Certification.
